Ezra and Rochelle
Hey Everyone, it’s James posting this time. We’ve had a lot of people mention that they were watching the blog for updates on Ezra, so here it is.
He has been home for three weeks now, and we are finally getting into a groove with having him around. Both Genevieve and I are a little sleep deprived because of his feeding schedule, but he’s getting a lot better at eating what he needs so feedings are now going a lot faster. The first week was pretty tough, but it has been getting a lot easier since then, thankfully. The last time he was weighed, he was gaining a little over an ounce a day, which is really good for a premie so that was a big relief. 4lb 9oz never sounded so big.
Yesterday, Rochelle got to hold Ezra for the first time which was a lot of fun for both her and us. Of course, we had to pull out a camera and document this momentous occasion.
Thanks again to you all for your thoughts and prayers; it has been a very trying two months but it is very, very good to be on this side of everything.
