I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that I am NOT pregnant. Instead I wanted to introduce to you April, our new office manager and first employee.
Business has been going well, so well in fact that we are spending all our time working and neglecting our family and friends. So we decided [...]

I had the pleasure of photographing the Bradleys late in the fall last year and we tried again earlier in the season this time. While the weather was daunting leading up to the session, I am so glad we still went ahead with it. The two little ones kept me hopping to get the photos the photos I wanted. I’m also glad Anna warmed up to me before the session ended. By next year, I’m hoping the kids will be excited to see me.

Bill and Debbie’s wedding at Saturday marks the official conclusion of our May-October wedding shooting marathon for the year. We have the next two weekends off which will be nice to rest, recharge, and get caught up on some post processing and album design. It felt great to end the peak-season with a fantastic wedding. We found some great spots near Atwood lake at the absolute perfect time for some awesome late-evening light.

I realized I forgot to blog about K’s session even though she gave me permission to display her sexy photos on my blog. K wanted to give her husband a special wedding anniversary present and capture her new curves. In the past year she has lost some 20 pounds and I think she should be proud of her accomplishment. These boudoir photos turned out to be very rewarding for K herself as well as her husband. That’s the point of every boudoir session!
K’s hubby is a musician so we incorporated some of his favorite guitars

We photographed Brian and Mandi’s wedding three years ago in Hartville and I had the fun job of coming back to photograph their firstborn daughter: Avery. That is such a nice name to go with an adorable face!
Naked babies are so cute! Even if they decide to look all serious

Tory and Erin are one of the first couples who’s wedding I photographed back in my film days. They might not know that their wedding photos are part of the reason why I am doing this today. I loved the experience and the results so much from their wedding that I started to seriously consider photography as a career. Here we are 4 plus year later and I have a job that I love.

Chandra and Eric’s wedding was full of interesting little details that together, made their wedding stand out amongst the rest. From the communal vow renewal during the ceremony to the unusual but very interesting choice of location for photos between the ceremony and reception, we could tell that Chandra and Eric really wanted to make their wedding their own which was really cool to see.

Scott and Jen’s wedding this past Saturday was one of those all to rare weddings with a schedule that provided almot more than enough time to hang out with, photograph, and experiment with the bridal party and the bride and groom. With almost three hours to use up, we had the opportunity to persue ideas and inspirations that sometimes have to be backburnered because of time contraints. This worked out well for Scott and Jen as they made it very clear to us that their wedding photography was very, very high on their priority list. Combine that with absolutely perfect weather and shooting conditions and you have a recipe for a ton of really cool material.

I recently found out that Kim who married Doug Waikem a couple years ago, was expecting twins. I was thrilled to hear she wanted some maternity photos and was willing to try something more daring. Doug wasn’t able to join us for photos but I’m quite sure he will like the results. We started off nice and simple and gradually went more sexy. I think Kim can pull off sexy maternity photos.

We had a great time a couple years ago photographing Stephen and Tricia’ wedding. In fact, they were one of the first couples we blogged. I know how much they value photography so it means a lot that they trust us with with these family milestones. I then had the opportunity to take photos of Dane as a newborn and just again recently on his actual birthday at Stadium Park in Canton Ohio. Dane is now one with tons of energy, smiles and love. It’s so nice to see families grow when you’ve captured the beginning of the family unit: the wedding!

It’s been a long, long time since we’ve posted photos of us and our family so it’s time to remedy that. So many couples and clients know we have kids and some have known me pregnant (in some cases very pregnant) but haven’t seen what the kids look like. Now that Ezra is over a year old, we finally have had 2 different sessions done.

Of all the couples we have photographed in the last five years, Alejo and Jodi just might be the most well-travelled of them all. Jodi’s job as an oceanographer and Alejo’s job as a crew member of a ship that maintains off-shore oil rigs has taken them to the ends of the earth. Really now, who else can claim that they met their spouse for the first time in Antartica. Antartica! Each table at the reception was labelled with a destination that Al and Jodi had been to together, and it’s quite a staggering list.

Almost exactly a year before their wedding, we had the pleasure of meeting Karri and Steve at a small bridal show in the very room where they were married this past Friday. The Canton Mckinley Grand Hotel provided the perfect environment for their wedding and the staff did a fantastic job keeping everything rolling smoothly.

Here’s Pay-It-Forward session #2 with the Drago family. This time I headed to Mentor Headlands which is a fun place that combines sandy beach and dunes. Sandy beach in Ohio? Hard to believe but just check out the photos and it looks like another place.

John took photos of various photographer families as part of a Pay It Forward project. It seems most photographers rarely take the time to have someone else photograph them. This is an effort to make sure photographers families are also photographed and keep spreading the photo love.
With that background information I will now show photos from the Forrest family. Andrew Jordan joined us for the session as well. These were done in their yard in Hudson but then we wandered a little past their property limit.
