Maternity session in Canton

Friday, February 27th, 2009

I love capturing the connection between people. Sometimes a look says a lot and other times a simple touch can mean even more. Add a soon-to-be baby and you’ve got a whole new layer of connections. Grasping that growing bond between mother and child is an amazing thing.

Here are some photos from my latest maternity session.

The Fawcett family photo session

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

A few months ago I received a wonderful email from Antoinette and Bradley announcing they were pregnant and hoping I would photograph their growing family. Of course I said yes!
I remembered Antoinette and Bradley from 5 years ago when I photographed their wedding using *film*. The one aspect of their wedding that still stands out [...]

Mark and Lori’s wedding at the Cleveland Renaissance Grand Ballroom

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

As the details started to come about Mark and Lori’s wedding at the Renaissance in downtown Cleveland, we knew it was going to be an interesting day. It’s not every weekend that we see a couple succeed in putting together such a strong team of wedding professionals together. Everything from the catering management and staff, the event coordination, floral decor, event lighting, videography, cake, and entertainment was handled by some of the area’s best in the business, and we were happy to be a part of the team. Here are some of our favorite images from the day.

And the winners are…

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

Well, the voting has officially ended for our third anual Wedding Photography Giveaway Essay Contest and I do think all of us here at the office were a bit surprised at how many votes came in for all four couples. Out of the nearly one thousand votes submitted, two couples clearly emerged as winners and they are…

Jason and Helyn’s wedding in Cleveland

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Jason and Helyn are a couple full of energy, creativity and a quirky sense of humor. Stir all these items up and you’ve got a fun filled wedding for friends, family and us. They are also the parents of Xander who has no idea what a stranger is. While Jason and Helyn had some ideas for photos, they also gave us free reign to create unique images that really capture their essence. From walking through slush to dealing with wind, these guys kept a smile and a great attitude the whole time. Thanks for letting us capture your big day!

Grace and Leon engagement session in snowy Cleveland

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Most of the time, we hope for ideal weather conditions when planning an engagement session. Of course when we do a session in January in Cleveland, we are pretty much guaranteed chilly and gray weather. Thankfully Grace and Leon were game for it and we started off with some inside stuff before moving to the frozzzzzen outdoor. With the winds off lake Erie, I think it was about -10 degrees but we got some fun yet elegant photos.

Thank you note from a boudoir session

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

It’s very common to have reservations about doing a boudoir session. A lady doing this is often doing something that is totally new and different for her. While most book a boudoir photo shoot with the idea of it being a gift to the boyfriend or husband, I think the session is also meant to be a gift for the lady herself. I could try to explain but would rather let you read a very recent email I received from A

The Layton Family in Akron Ohio

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

It is such a privilege to photograph a family’s first official portrait. Harper was such a good model too that I couldn’t help but fall in love with her. Those eyes…that smile…the chubby checks…that baby soft skin…what’s not to love? Thank you baby girl for being so sweet and easy to photograph!

Our kiddos in the winter

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

Info on the contest is coming shortly. It turned out harder than expected to choose finalists but I’ll be sure to get that up before the end of the week.
In the meantime, I’ve been meaning to post photos of our kids. Our oldest Rochelle turned 3 today. She’s already trying to be a little mommy [...]
