Grace and Leon’s wedding at the Embassy Suites in Cleveland, Ohio

by James ~ May 4th, 2009. Filed under: Cleveland Weddings.

Grace and Leon’s wedding day was a very interesting blend of Grace’s Taiwanese, and Leon’s Greek roots. While the invitations, programs and favors were obviously inspired by Grace, the Greek Orthodox ceremony, grape leaf and spanakopita hors d’oeuvres and traditional Greek reception music brought a healthy dose of Greek flavor to the day. A lot of Grace’s family came all the way from Taiwan to help them celebrate which obviously meant a lot to Grace, while others traveled from Chicago, NY and Amsterdam.

Here are some of my favorite images from the day:

Leon is a huge Browns fan, so the inscribed beer mugs with the Brown’s helmet filled with PBR was a perfect groomsmen gift for sure.

The trees outside of St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church were in full bloom. These look like apple blossoms to me, but I’m not very good with trees. Anyone care to set me straight?

The Taiwanese inspired design on the invitations was gorgeous as you can see here nestled amongst the blossoms of a cherry tree.

Grace chose a dress full of style and elegance. I loved the details on the skirt and her shoes. (Genevieve speaking here)

This reminds me of neoclassical european architecture. Hard to believe it’s in Cleveland
