Michael and Kelly’s wedding at Landerhaven

Monday, June 29th, 2009

One Friday we got to meet up with Michael and Kelly for their wedding at St. Paschal Baylon Parish. Michael and Kelly, and the whole bridal party for that matter, were just a ton of fun to be around, which made the day fly by. Since we were out on a Friday, we had the luxury of having Squire’s Castle completely to ourselves for photos with the bridal party, which was a really nice change. Really beautiful and interesting locations like this are usually crawling with photographers and bridal party’s on Saturdays during the summer months and we got to miss all of that. We then headed over to Landerhaven’s Grand Ballroom for a fantastic reception and entertainment by the Marino Brothers.

Andrew and Davene’s wedding at Glenmoor Country Club

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Being that Davene and Andrew where the very first couple to book us for a 2009 date, I think it’s safe to say that we’ve been anticipating this wedding for quite some time. Tricia Dever of Always Eventful has been involved in the planning from word one, so we knew it was going to be a fantastic day, and it did not disapoint. We started the day in Boardman, Ohio with a morning ceremony at St. James Meeting House, one of the oldest churches in the country. Following the ceremony, we took our time exploring the extensive park system in Youngstown, which provided all kinds of great locations to shoot.

Dave and Erin, part 2: the photobooth

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

This is the second installment of Dave and Erin’s wedding at Windows on the River. Here is a taste of photobooth we set up at the reception: no fancy machines, just a trigger happy photographer and some volunteer subjects with a sense of humor.

Erin and Dave’s wedding at Windows on the River

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Erin and Dave met at a small neighborhood bar in Tremont, a neighborhood of Cleveland, called the Prosperity Social Club. As we discussed our various options for pre-ceremony photo locations, the Prosperity became the obvious choice, and for good reason. It held significant sentimental value to both Erin and Dave, and it’s just a dang cool place to shoot. If the Prosperity Social Club was near my house, I would totally hang out there.

Bryan and Heather’s wedding at Glenmoor Country Club

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

We’ve been anticipating Heather and Bryan’s wedding for quite some time, especially since Genevieve met up with them in their hometown of Chicago for an engagement session last summer. From start to finish, the wedding was well planned and well executed which was largely the result of Heather and Bryan’s attention to detail and the fact that they had the exception staff at Glenmoor Country Club to work with.

Matt and Megan’s wedding at the Hyatt Regency Arcade

Monday, June 15th, 2009

Friday was an absolutely perfect day in Cleveland with temperatures hovering in the lower seventies, very little humidity, and just enough of a breeze to keep things comfortable in a tux or wedding dress. Despite the limo driver’s best attempts to sabotage the schedule, we were still able to make it to Voinovich park for a few images by the lake as well as Mall C by the fountain. Thankfully, the reception was very close by at the stunningly beautiful Arcade in downtown Cleveland.

Canton Portrait Session with Adam and Kelly

Friday, June 12th, 2009

I had the wonderful privilege of photographing Adam and Kelly’s 5 year wedding anniversary celebration at 7 Martini Lounge in Canton. They’ve seen many dates at this place so it seemed like a great location for the photos. Funny side note: we photographed Adam and Kelly’s engagement and wedding photos but she was still nervous when starting the session. With her bubbly personality, infectious laugh and drink in hand, it was a matter of seconds before they both relaxed.

Ruth and Bryan’s engagement session in Akron

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

After having to postpone Ruth and Bryan’s initial engagement session due to weather, we found time on a lovely June morning in Akron. Ruth mentioned she wanted some of our signature images and to be honest, I’m not sure what they are. We are always trying new ideas and really let the couple be the inspiration for our photos. This session was no different: Bryan and Ruth met downtown Akron and are a very lively couple so that set the tone for their engagement session.

Matt and Alexa’s wedding at the Conrad Botzum Farmstead

Monday, June 8th, 2009

This stuff just never gets boring. One week we’re shooting on the roof of a hotel in downtown Cleveland, and the next we are on a historic farmstead nestled snuggly in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. From the old fashion lemonade stand, to the lawn games, bluegrass band, and hay bails as seats, Matt and [...]

Caroline and Andrew’s engagement session at Brandywine Falls

Friday, June 5th, 2009

On a recent trip back to Ohio, Caroline and Andrew took some time to meet up with me at the scenic Brandywine Falls for their engagement session. Both Caroline and Andrew love spending time hiking and being outdoors near their home in Blacksburg, VA, so the Falls made a perfect setting to capture the two [...]

James and Rachel’s rooftop wedding at the Cleveland Embassy Suites

Monday, June 1st, 2009

We were already looking forward to James and Rachel’s rooftop wedding at the Cleveland Embassy Suites, but we were in for quite a treat when we saw all the fun details they had planned. From the shoes, the rings, birdcage veil, the knee-length wedding dress purchased on Etsy, the paper flowers, the rooftop ceremony and the art gallery reception, this wedding was certainly unique and full of personality.
