The couple (yes the groom was very involved) planned a simple and elegant wedding in Cleveland that started at St Gregory the Great and ended at the Courthouse. It’s hard to go wrong with the decor of the cuyahoga county courthouse. They were surrounded by many friends to celebrate including two priests that are long friends of the family. Also notable are some top notch vendors they picked including Scott Jones from Jerry Bruno and Scott from Moonstruck Productions.

I’m willing to bet that when Travis wondered into the jewelry store where Andrea worked to buy a watch, he had no idea that that watch purchase would lead them here. I suppose one could say that walking in for a watch, then walking out with a watch and a future wife is a bit more than he bargained for, but I didn’t hear anyone complaining. But there we were, many months later, getting ready to celebrate with Andrea and Travis at the beautiful Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio.

Hey Everyone, We really need your help again! The voting is on over at MyFox Cleveland to name the best wedding photography studio in Cleveland. The last two years, with the help of all of you, we made it to second place. It’s not like us to ever really be content with where we are, [...]

Installment number 3 of our trip to France: this time it’s photos of our kiddos and a couple of us. With the stunning backdrops available it was easy to take a lot of portraits of Rochelle and Ezra. With their level of energy, it’s easier to do them separately seeing they rarely stay put together. I know I am a biased mom but I think James and I made some cute kids.

Here is episode 2 of cuteness Clara! For these baby portraits, Mom and Clara came to the studio but we still managed to go outside for a couple photos. It’s so fun to see her personality starting to show a little more compared to her newborn photos. Those eyes and cheeks are adorable!

During Rachel and Jared’s engagement session, Rachel told me the story about how they met. Rachel and some friends were throwing a frisbee in a common area near some dorms when she discovered that if she “accidentally” threw the frisbee into one of the dorms, a “cute guy in dark hair” would bring the frisbee out and give it back to her. Well Rachel, I hope you kept that frisbee, because look at what it led to. Saturday was a beautiful day and we sure made the most of it with Rachel, Jared and the bridal party. We got to try out some new locations with the three or so hours that Rachel left for us between the ceremony and reception for photos. Rachel wanted a fun, relaxing time and a lot of variety, so we were happy to oblige.

And now for the second installment of our trip to France. Nothing extraordinary but we enjoyed some time at the local market and dinner at the creperie. These crepes were amazing! We enjoyed our stay in the little village of Kerbors on the northwest part of France. Everything was so quaint there, it’s hard not to slow down and enjoy your stay.

Ryan and Shona’s wedding had a lot of things going for it: beautiful weather, a great location with a ton of variety, a bride with a very strong design sense and a groom with a great sense of humor who together make a couple who are totally into each other. We had some time before [...]

Bryan and Ruth had a “sophisticated country” wedding at Kirtland Country Club that was not lacking in details. With Ruthie having gone to the Cleveland Institute of Art where she developed a keen sense of design, we knew their wedding would come together beautifully. While the decor, food and lighting was amazing, what made the day significant was the palpable love the couple has for each other. Bryan is probably one of the most romantic guys I’ve met. It’s easy to see how he won Ruthie over.

When I started talking to Heidi of Heidzilla about a portrait session, I knew it would be a blast for me and hopefully for her. My goal with every portrait session is to bring out the individual’s personality and try to capture it through my lens. Having worked with Heidi a couple times and spent some time talking and emailing on other occasions, I had a pretty good sense of who she is: cheerful, hardworking, feminine, energetic, elegant, helpful with a hint of spunkiness. Hopefully I captured some of that in these images.

I will be breaking our trip to France into different parts so I can share more photos. This post focuses on Alicia who is two months old. These family portraits also include a couple of her older brother Lucas. For being so young, she is already so expressive and loves holding her head up. Her brother is pretty smitten with her. Both kids can thank Mom for the stunning blues eyes they were blessed with.
