Justin and Summer’s nighttime engagement session

by James ~ December 11th, 2009. Filed under: Engagement Sessions.

Summer and Justin’s engagement session represents a first for me: it’s the first session that I’ve ever done that started well after sundown. We’ve finished many sessions after the fall of night, but we have never done an entire session at night, until now. Ask anyone who as ever attempted this, and they will tell you that this presents a whole new set of challenges as well as opportunities to make images that are just impossible to do during the day. This session really stretched me to see things differently as the night changes the character of just about everything.

We started off at Summer and Justin’s house with a little tree decoration then we headed over to downtown Akron until the cold sent us looking for shelter. It was a fun night of exploring new ideas as well as exploring new parts of downtown even if it was blocked off by construction cones.
