Romantic Maternity Session in Ohio – James and Elisabeth

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

For Elisabeth and James’ maternity session, we tossed around several ideas including some outside images in the lovely Ohio snow. We photographed as much variety inside the Canton Ohio studio as possible before heading into the bitter cold. I cannot be more thrilled with the resulting romantic yet playful images. It’s hard not to when you have a couple like James and Elisabeth that are such naturals in front of the camera!

Jimmy and Becci featured on the Bride’s Cafe

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

It’s hard not to remember Jimmy and Becci’s bright and upbeat wedding. They included some fun elements that could be lovely in a real wedding feature. Sure enough, Janie at the Bride’s Cafe thought so as well and is displaying Jimmy and Becci’s wedding. Go see it for yourself and be sure to leave a comment.

Erin and Dave in the Knot magazine

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Almost two months we received some wonderful news from the Knot. If you have never heard of it, you must not be a bride. Anyway… the good news was two-fold. We were waiting for the magazine to come out before sharing the good news.

First: one our 2009 couples, Dave and Erin’s real wedding was published in their Ohio Knot magazine. If you would like to see the photos we blogged from their wedding, click here. This wasn’t just a single page feature but a three page one which made it even more special. Thanks Dave and Erin for planning such a lovely wedding. You guys were a blast to photograph and I’m thrilled felt the same about the resulting images.

Bridal soiree recap

Monday, February 8th, 2010

I wanted to post a quick recap of the wonderful bridal soiree we had over a week ago. The event exceeed my expectations thanks to everyone who took time off on a weekend night to attend and to the participating wedding professionals. They jumped in without knowing what to expect as this was the first event of it’s kind in this area. I truly think this night a night to remember. The details in the four distinct wedding styles were truly inspirational. It was wonderful to see what some of the local top notch wedding professionals are capable of when given the opportunity to be creative. I hope we get to plan more soirees like this one.

Family Portrait session in Canton – The Dehavens

Monday, February 8th, 2010

I love photographing fun, energetic and slightly quirky families like the Dehavens (which I mean in the nicest way possible). The enthusiasm evident in their interactions was so enjoyable to witness. Lifestyle portrait sessions are meant to capture those family interactions and give you something to cherish years down the road. What was even more special about this family photo session is that I was able to photograph Miles’ first snowfall. What a treat that was!

Thank you to everyone who wrote reviews for us!

Ohio maternity

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

For Dawn’s maternity session, we included not just her soon-to-be son Caleb but her other love Christian. By the time you see these photos, little Caleb has been enjoying life for a little while. Hopefully the two brothers are becoming best of friends. Congrats Dawn and Phil!
