Meet our new office manager Summer

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

We wanted to take a moment and intorduce you to our new office manager Summer. If you have a wedding coming up that we are photographing or an upcoming photo session, chances are you are or will be talking to Summer. Summer already seems like a great fit here at Genevieve Nisly Photography. We actually [...]

Scott and Jenni’s wedding at Trinity Cathedral and the Union Club

Monday, October 25th, 2010

We had high hopes for Scott and Jenni’s wedding at Trinity Cathedral and the Union Club based on their engagement session alone. Those expectations were blown out of the water when we saw everything come together: the photogenic couple and fun bridal party, the gorgeous arrangements from Neil Leeson, the talented 2nd Mile Production team, the stunning church and reception venue, the choice for photo locations. What more could we ask for?

Baby on the way

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

Mary and Steve have a little one on the way. While I can relate to seeing a woman anxiously waiting for baby to arrive, it was refreshing to witness how eager Steve is to meet his son and become a dad. What an exciting new chapter in their life they are about to start. Here [...]

Fall family portraits

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

Robin and Jason were married several years ago and we have managed to stay in touch. It’s been nice to keep up with our families and enjoy the occasional dinner together. Now their son Jacob is over a year old and very much like his dad. We captured their latest session in an orchard surrounded by lovely scenery.

Violet’s first fall – family portrait session

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

Fall is probably my favorite season and I have the sneaky suspicion Violet already likes it a lot or will learn to love too. This little girl has changed a lot since her newborn session. Those cheeks were meant to be squeezed but I managed to act professional and refrain myself. I hope you enjoy the photos of this little pumpkin.

Brian and Erin’s Wedding at Gesu and the Renaissance in Downtown Cleveland

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

Brian and Erin would have been hard pressed to pick a better day to get married on. The leaves are starting to change, pleasant temperatures, and the beautiful blue skies that only October can bring. Brian and Erin first met on the soccer field at John Carroll University, just a short wall from where the ceremony took place at the Church of the Gesu.

Matt & Meghann’s Engagement Session in Downtown Cleveland

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

Matt and Meghann love to run. Heck, their first date was a five mile run, so when Meghann started thinking about how to personalize their engagement session to their relationship, their running route was at the top of the list. Lucky for us, their route is chock full of really cool places to shoot. The first spot that we went to was actually Matt’s idea when it was all said and done, I think it ended up being everyone’s favorite location for the day. We’ll have to keep that one in our back pockets for future reference.

Buck and Ashley’s Wedding at the Blair Center in Westfield

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

We first met Ashley as a bridesmaid for Rachel and Jared’s wedding a little over a year ago. Ashley and Buck were already dating at the time, but who knew that just one short year later, we would be shooting their wedding as well! As far as we could tell, but Ashley and Buck had a blast on their wedding day and they weren’t afraid to show it, as you can see below.

Justin and Summer’s wedding at the O’Neil House and Greystone in Akron, Ohio

Monday, October 11th, 2010

Summer has spent some of the last few weeks at our office getting oriented for her new job with us so we have had the opportunity to hear of some wedding planing issues that tend to creep at the last minute. Brides, I feel for you. As stressful as it may have become, it all seemed to dissolve away when the day came. I’m sure it’s part good planning, and part just letting things go, but the day seemed effortless despite the usual craziness surrounding family portraits, but hey, how you are going to avoid that?

Justin and Amber’s wedding at the Cincinnati Hilton Netherland Plaza

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

We had the pleasure of working along side quite a talented group of people for Amber and Justin’s wedding at the Cincinnati Hilton Netherland Plaza. While we had a couple curve balls thrown our way including the weather, we still managed to pull off quite a day. It was nice to see how everyone worked so well together to create one unforgettable day for Justin and Amber. I hope we have the opportunity to return to Cincinnati and work again with Kevin at Ford Ellington Floral, Elisa at Elegant Events, Dan from Poetic Cinema and the staff at the Hilton Netherland Plaza.

Amy and Michael’s Chagrin Falls engagement session

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

Amy and Michael’s gentle demeanors came through during their engagement session. It was nice to witness a groom involved in picking the location for the photo session (Chagrin Falls at a restaurant where he worked) and have an active hand in planning the wedding. It’s obvious they are such a good fit together and no [...]
