Matt and Caitlin’s wedding on Saturday was very much a family event. I know all weddings are, but when the bride is the youngest of nine, and she has fifteen nieces and nephews, the family element of the wedding goes to a whole new level. It was quite a site to see all fifteen nieces and nephews parade down the aisle all at once. It looked like quite the entourage.

Being a foodie myself, I was beyond thrilled to hear Stephanie was a chef and wanted to incorporate some culinary elements to her and Heath’s engagement session. They picked a favorite restaurant of theirs and one I recommend you try if you have never been: the Spread Eagle Tavern. We made sure to also include their dog Troy in some of the photos since he is very much a part of their family.

I’ve had the pleasure of know Katie’s mom Tricia for several years now through weddings. She is the coordinator extraordinaire from Always Eventful and it’s always a joy to work with her. This time the photography was a little different than what I typically do when she is involved but it was such a nice change of pace. Her daughter Katie is so vivacious and fun to photograph. I hope I get to do it again over the upcoming years. Maybe next time with the rest of the family?I’ve had the pleasure of know Katie’s mom Tricia for several years now through weddings. Rich and Sarah’s wedding was different. Different in a good way. The ceremony took place in an Abby where Rich went to high school and was married by a monk that taught him during his high school years. Sarah opted for a jeweled color palette instead of the ever so obvious harvest colors for this time of year. The reception took place at Fire Food and Drink in Shaker Square, one of Cleveland’s top restaurants. The evening consisted of a five course meal plus hors d’oeuvers and chocolate truffles that lasted well into the night. No dancing, no dj, just fabulous food, great company, and a great location.

Not only was working with Eric and Katie an absolute pleasure, but we also got to work with some fantastic wedding professionals as well. Brian and Susy from 2nd Mile Productions provided video coverage, HeatherLily for floral design, The Orchestra for music, and coordination by Eileen Benson to pull it all together.

From the more formal and classical Italian Cultural Gardens and Wade Lagoon to the whimsical and fun Big Fun toy store in Coventry, Erin and Eren got to hit the two extremes for their engagement session. The timing worked out perfectly with the late afternoon and early evening light adding to the overal ambiance of [...]

We’ve had the pleasure of photographing Ashley and Anthony previously for their engagement session and look forward to their wedding in 2011. This session was a little different since it involved all of Ashley’s family. I’m so glad we did prior to the wedding so we know a little better who the significant people are and their dynamics. One thing is for sure: if their wedding is anything like this fall photo session, there will be lots of laughs.
