Ashley and Anthony’s Wedding at the McKinley Grand Hotel

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

Ashley and Anthony were the very first couple to book us for a 2011 date a little over two years ago when they first got engaged. Since then, we have gotten to know them through an engagement session and a family portrait session including the entire Cary clan so when it came to the wedding day, we felt right at home. The ceremony took place at the historic St. John the Baptist Parrish in Downtown Canton where Anthony’s family are long-time parishioners and where Anthony and his brothers were alter boys

Derrick and Katie’s wedding at Gervasi Vineyard

Monday, June 20th, 2011

I must say I am a little disappointed… Disappointed we did not get to know Katie and Derrick better leading up to their wedding at Gervasi vineyard. They are such great and fun people with fantastic taste that we could easily see ourselves spending more time with talking about fonts :) Granted there was/are some challenges to that seeing they live in LA but we hope this isn’t the last of seeing them both. While we would have loved photographing in wine country in California, Gervasi was the perfect Ohio solution for their wedding to keep it close to family.

Sarah and Eric’s Engagement Session in Oxford, Ohio

Thursday, June 16th, 2011

Sarah and Eric have quite a bit of history at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Not only did they both go to school there, but they met there, and quite a bit of their families went to Miami as well. Therefore, even though they both now live in Cleveland, it only seemed fitting to make [...]

Brooks is 9 months and counting

Wednesday, June 15th, 2011

With the darling face and adorable and sometimes mischievous looks Brooks displays, I can’t imagine how his parents can resist. I know I was smiling the whole session just seeing his cute grin on the other side of the camera. Can you blame me? Just see for yourself.

Nicholas and Ashley’s Wedding at the Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography and The Canton Club

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Ashly and Nicholas’ wedding ceremony on Saturday took place at what might be the most distracting place for a photographer to shoot; a gallery of photography, and a good one at that. I found myself on multiple occasions getting sucked into a print on the wall, and for a moment, forgetting what I was there [...]

Eren and Erin’s Wedding at Portage Country Club

Tuesday, June 7th, 2011

The fact that Eren and Erin met while they were both volunteering for a Habitat for Humanity house actually gives a pretty good indication what kind of people they are; kind, gracious, loving, and generous with their time and attention. We started the day right off the bat with a first look on the porch leading to the ever famous Birch Alley at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens in Akron. We took our time with the bridal party and couple themselves before heading over to Portage Country Club for a perfectly timed ceremony. How perfectly timed was it, you ask? So perfectly that the first kiss was precisely synced up to the first crack of thunder we heard all day. Coincidence? I guess we can all decide for ourselves.

Craig and Lindsey at Squaw Creek Country Club

Friday, June 3rd, 2011

While Craig and Lindsey are both originally from Northeast Ohio, they met quite a distance from where they grew up. Both were (and still are) living in NYC and their paths crossed while on a group trip to Israel. For their wedding they traveled back to Ohio to the country club where she keeps fond memories of her childhood : Squaw Creek Country Club. The heat ended up being quite a challenge but thanks to an amazing team of talented wedding professionals like the staff at Party People and Something New, everything came together beautifully.

Brothers

Friday, June 3rd, 2011

James Tucker made his entrance into the world on Easter day. Sadly his brother Jack might have been a little distracted by his Easter candy to focus much on Tucker. Who could blame him? I wonder how long it will take Jack to change his attitude from indifferent to enthralled toward his baby brother. I’m sure he’ll be sharing soon his love for gardening, how to best wear boots, play with trucks and enjoy running around outside. But don’t grow up too fast Tucker! Mommy and Daddy want to cherish these times with you before you can run away from them.
