Now that we are back home from our wonderful vacation in France to visit Genevieve’s family, it’s finally time to get back into the swing of things, starting with Chad and Sarah’s wedding at Mayfield United Methodist Church and reception at The Country Club. Wedding planner Susie Cargile and her team did a wonderful job keeping the day running smoothly, and The Orchestra from Jerry Bruno Productions kept the dance floor packed well past midnight.

Jeff and Amy seemed prepared for parenthood when I captured their maternity session, at least as prepared as one can be. By the time you read this, they are in fact parents. Congrats you two!

Amy has a great sense of decor which is apparent in the baby room so we made sure to include some of her handy work in the photos. After a little time at home we headed to nearby Olmstead Falls. While I’ve been there several times before, it was all new to Amy. We discovered new parts to the park together which where great backgrounds to Amy’s glowing demeanor.

The Ostertags are one of the families we have photographed the most since their wedding in June 2006. This will be their 5th (or is it 6th?) session with us. Can’t believe how fast time has gone and how much their family has grown. This time we gathered to capture their son Jesse turning one. He is such a happy little guy but I’m sure he keeps mom and dad hopping at times. Thanks so much for trusting us to capture your family memories!

This past Saturday, we have the privilege of photographing Christy and Clark’s wedding at the historic Hyatt Arcade in downtown Cleveland. When the Arcade went through a major restoration in the late seventies, Christy’s grandfather played a roll in restoring all of the ornate brass patterns seen all throughout the structure, so in a way, he as able to be there with Christy and Clark to help celebrate their wedding.

The original plan for Jen and Kellen’s engagement session was to shoot the whole session at Edgewater Park where they have spent a good bit of time together in the past. Joe and Jen are experts at letting the world melt away and simply focusing on one another. While they warned us they had awkward faces when posing for the camera, we didn’t really witness those because their chemistry did all the talking. What we did witness instead was one of the sweetest “first look” outside Severance Hall. We hated to interrupt them but needed to stick to the wedding day timeline which was carefully orchestrated.

Molly had a very interesting start to her wedding day. The type that is no fun to actually go through, but once everything turns out fine, can turn into a legendary family story in the years to come. An allergic reaction to some skin location sent her on an 8AM trip to urgent care in order to get some medication strong enough to get the swelling down in time for the ceremony. Whatever they gave her, it worked, because had I not heard the story, I would have been none the wiser. The ceremony still happened on time and we had a great time at a very interesting location for bridal party photos between the ceremony and reception.
