Baby Elia

Monday, October 31st, 2011

Elia at 2 weeks for her first baby portraits was a little less malleable than some babies I have photographed. Poor little girl had the hiccups which prevented her from falling asleep. Finally toward the end of the session, the cutie gave in to sleep once we headed outside. Of course I had to to try some new ideas including a new location right by our studio

Kellen and Jen’s Wedding in Downtown Cleveland

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

Jen and Kellen knew from the start that their wedding was going to be a little bit different. They weren’t terribly interested in many of the trappings that often surround a wedding, but they knew what they did want out of their day; a stress free, fun and relaxing day to celebrate their marriage with [...]

Senior Shoshana – full of life

Friday, October 21st, 2011

Her enthusiasm, love of life and energy are simply contagious! While photographing Shoshana, it was impossible for me not to smile. I enjoyed hearing about her love of photography, Agatha Christie books, various sports including but not limited to skying and running, her favorite ice cream and just witnessing her bubbly personality. She reminds me a lot of myself in high school (minus the running part). I foresee a bright future ahead! Thanks for picking as your high school senior photographer Shoshana.

Helena and Christopher’s fall wedding at the Hyatt Arcade

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

The wedding day itself included a cleverly tied bow-tie, plenty of guests from this side of the pond and from across the Atlantic, coordination by Valarie at Kirkbrides, cake by Flour Girl, Ted from TKO and more. The gusts of wind proved to be a little challenging, we still managed to get some great images near the Cleveland Museum of Art before heading to the Hyatt Arcade for the reception. Thanks so much for having us Helena and Chris! Looking forward to more laughs the next time we see you.

Brooks is now 1

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

Brooks is now 1 and I feel honored to have captured so much of him during his first year. I nearly photographed him taking his first steps but he had to hold out 2 more days when the camera was not around. In some ways this session is bittersweet because I will no longer be able to capture Brooks (and Clara) during their first year but has been a fantastic journey to be a part of. Brooks is very fun, happy and easy going. I hope he keeps those traits as he grows older. Here’s to many great years ahead!

Don and Karen’s Wedding at Shoreby Club and The Elyria Country Club

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011

The back terrace of the Shoreby Club in Cleveland provided a prefect setting for an outdoor October ceremony then we headed off to Olmsted Falls to take in some of the colors of the season. The reception took place at the Elyria Country Club which was decked out with floral arrangements by Stephen Tokar and a cake by Wendy Kromer. By all accounts, it ended up being just about as perfect a day as anyone could hope for and we are very happy that Don and Karen were able to claim it as their wedding day.

Wendy and Calvin’s Engagement Session

Friday, October 7th, 2011

Wendy and Calvin made the trip up from Cincinnati for their engagement session along the Towpath Trail on a cloudy and unseasonably cool day earlier this summer. They love to read together in their free time when they are able to get away from their jobs at Proctor & Gamble where they both work, and where they met. Keep your eye on the blog next September for the exciting conclusion at Glenmoor Country Club! Can’t wait!

Justin and Alexia’s Wedding at Portage Country Club

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

Together, Justin and Alexia are a fun loving couple with a taste for the irreverent, as you can probably see in the photos below. While the drenching rain may have brought the ceremony indoors, it little effect on the mood of the day, and in the end, we still made it outside for portraits of the bridal party and Justin and Alexia together.

Jeff and Amy and baby Finn

Monday, October 3rd, 2011

“Becoming a Dad has been such an amazing experience. To hold that little person and see him move, breathe, sleep and knowing that I am responsible for him is incredible and life changing!” – Jeff (Finn’s dad)

As a photographer, it is so rewarding to capture the bond between parent and child. To witness how Jeff and Amy are already so enamored with their son Finn was one of those instances. I felt privileged to photograph their family and am excited about what the future has in store for him. Finn has great role models to look up to.
