Charles and Lynn’s Wedding at The Union Club in Downtown Cleveland

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

16,488 miles. That’s the distance between the locations where major milestones in Charles and Lynn’s relationship took place. What started in Cleveland, Ohio eleven years ago went to Los Angeles, China, India, United Arab Emerates, Egypt, then ended right back up Cleveland on Saturday where they finally tied the knot. It’s amazing that Charles and Lynn were able to pull together such a classy and beautiful wedding in only three short months, and from the other side of the globe. Soliciting some of the best talent in the industry, from the staff at the Union Club, Peter Boutres for floral decor, and White Flower Cake Shoppe for the cupcakes certainly helps in pulling off a successful wedding in a short period of time.

Ruch family portraits in the fall

Monday, November 28th, 2011

This is my third time photographing the Ruch family so you would think it would be easier the third time around, right? Well the boys behaved superbly with the youngest one giving suggestions for poses (which where great). Little Arabella however had a mind of her own and this did not include fully cooperating for photos. Thankfully I’ve had similar personal experiences with my own children. I just had to be faster and more obstinate than her which I am

Joe and Adriane’s Wedding at the Youngstown Country Club

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

Gentle, loving spirits in amazingly powerful bodies. That’s the best way I can think of to describe Adriane and Joe. Words like Olympian, champion, and cancer beater would work as well. I wouldn’t know where to start in listing Adriane’s athletic accomplishments, but they are many, varied, and come from the arena of world competition. [...]

Brittany and Brian’s love for dogs and each other

Monday, November 21st, 2011

With their wedding taking place at the end of the year and his football coaching, the session had to happen that day. Their session took place in Chesterland and had to include their other loves: their 4 dogs. We endured some rain to get great images including the last image bellow which is my and the couples favorite. Glad we persevered for that image alone!

Big sister to be

Friday, November 18th, 2011

This session was a combined Violet is 18 months old, family portraits and maternity session so we captured a lot of variety. I had to share one of Violet’s goofy smile. She hasn’t quite mastered the relaxed grin yet but maybe by next photo session she will.

Lauren and Ted’s Wedding at the Union Club in Cleveland, Ohio

Wednesday, November 16th, 2011

After a weekend off for a little R&R, we were right back at it this weekend for Lauren and Ted’s wedding at the Union Club. I don’t think anyone expected that Lauren and Ted’s wedding day would turn out to be such a beautiful November day, and I’m very glad we got a chance to make the most of it with the couple and the bridal party at the Italian Cultural Gardens.

Yearly portraits of our kids in the fall

Monday, November 14th, 2011

It’s been a yearly tradition to take portraits of our kids in the fall. It’s hard to resist the golden and rust colored foliage, the crisp air and the crunch the leaves make make when walking on them. This year we barely managed to get any images because we waited until November to take Ezra and Rochelle to a newly discovered nearby location. The challenging part was walking past a playground to said spot to get the desired images.

Karen and Don’s Engagement Session

Friday, November 11th, 2011

Karen loves her dogs, and Don loves the outdoors, so what better setting then a beautifully natural location like Virginia Kendall for an e-session with their dogs? Don and Karen find it very easy to have fun together which makes shooting them together very easy. It was the perfect lead up to their wedding that we shot last month.

Clara turns 2

Friday, November 11th, 2011

If you are a regular follower of our blog, you might recognize Clara as I have photographed her at several intervals since her birth. This little girl is now two and full of personality. We decided to try something different for this session. I thought it would be fun to capture a glimpse of her life at this point in time and remember her favorite activities, toys and all around personality. So along with capturing her simply being herself, I designed an alphabet book just for Clara based on her favorite things and daily activities. I’m including a couple spreads of the album for you all to see

Danielle and Mark’s Engagement Session

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

Ok, so we’re a little behind on blogging engagement sessions. I admit it, but we’ll try to get caught up, I promise. On the night before we took off for France back in August, Mark and Danielle made the trip up from Columbus for their engagement session near the flats in Cleveland. Mark and Danielle [...]

Julie and Koen’s fall wedding at the Union Club

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

We originally anticipated less than great weather for the last weekend in November but we were pleasantly surprised. A last minute change of location allowed us to incorporate some fall foliage in some images. Additional colorful fall details were incorporated into their wedding at the Union Club in Cleveland which was orchestrated with the help of Allison at Kirkbrides.
