First up Todd and Tonya’s bridal or trash the dress session or just all around fun photo session. This couple hired us after being disappointed with their wedding photos that were taken only a few months ago. Stories like theirs brake my heart because I believe each couple deserves wonderful wedding photos.

I also now know from experience that Tonya and Todd are easy to photograph. I’m not sure we could have taken bad photos of them if we tried. It did help that they were game for just about anything. Too bad the water was freezing.

I couldn’t decide which photo I like best so here are two similar ones: (I took the first in color with flare and James took the second in black and white)

Part of the idea was to do something challenging for us to help push us creatively. Things kept getting postponed but finally we made it happen.

One of tough part of the day to shoot, is at dusk. When the sun has set, the light changes to fast and goes so dark, it makes is difficult to achieve much artistically.

I love the Palace theater! Makes for such an nice backdrop.

Thanks for being such good sports guys! I hope the wait was worthwhile.

This one happens to be a photographer getting married in Michigan this September. Shandra wanted some different bridal portraits so she chose a colorful dress and the city of Las Vegas as a backdrop. There was a total of 6 photographers that quickly dwindled down to 3 taking her photos. Shandra was a great model and willing to act the fashion part.

Keep in mind we had to follow casino privacy policies so you won’t see gambling tables in these photos.
