Nathaniel and Valerie’s wedding at Josaphat Arts Hall

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Nathaniel and Valerie’s wedding on Saturday in Cleveland was the perfect way to finish off the 2009 wedding shooting season. Great people, fantastic locations, top notch event design, and a rockin’ dance party came together to make for a very memorable wedding. I started off at Nathaniel and Valerie’s apartment where the guys where getting ready in between Rockband bouts while Genevieve met up with Valerie and the girls at the nearby Embassy Suites. While at the apartment, I picked up on the fact that Nathaniel and I are very much in the same wavelength in terms of music. He even turned me on to a very cool album by The Dead Weather which is downloading into my iTunes playlist as I type.

Dean and Katie’s wedding at the Cleveland Hyatt Regency Arcade

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Despite not meeting Katie until days before her wedding, I already had a sense of her personality and taste. It seemed obvious from our exchanges that Dean and Katie would have a fabulous wedding at the Cleveland Hyatt Regency. The day, the couple, the decor and the large bridal party certainly lived up and exceeded our expectations of a festive, old Hollywood and glamorous wedding. Not only was the couple game for various off the beaten path locations, they allotted over 4 hours of creative time to capture the images. We enjoyed having all that time to be artistic and diverse which should be obvious in the images below.

Jimmy and Becci’s wedding at The Club at Hillbrook

Monday, October 5th, 2009

From the great location at Hillbrook, the 1950’s inspired bridesmaids dresses, Chuck Taylor All Stars, the bicycles, the beautifully whimsical cakes, and of course, Jimmy and Becci themselves, there was just so much to love about Saturday’s wedding. Being that Jimmy is the current manager and grandson of the founder of Eddy’s Bike Shop, the best bike stores in Ohio (as recent customers, Genevieve and I can vouch for this), bicycles are a big part of their lives. As a wedding present, Jimmy gave Becci the beautiful townie (which Becci had already given a name) that you will see in the images below.

Tom and Eileen’s wedding at the Cleveland Courthouse

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

The couple (yes the groom was very involved) planned a simple and elegant wedding in Cleveland that started at St Gregory the Great and ended at the Courthouse. It’s hard to go wrong with the decor of the cuyahoga county courthouse. They were surrounded by many friends to celebrate including two priests that are long friends of the family. Also notable are some top notch vendors they picked including Scott Jones from Jerry Bruno and Scott from Moonstruck Productions.

Jared and Rachel’s wedding at St. Paul’s Hellenic Center

Monday, September 14th, 2009

During Rachel and Jared’s engagement session, Rachel told me the story about how they met. Rachel and some friends were throwing a frisbee in a common area near some dorms when she discovered that if she “accidentally” threw the frisbee into one of the dorms, a “cute guy in dark hair” would bring the frisbee out and give it back to her. Well Rachel, I hope you kept that frisbee, because look at what it led to. Saturday was a beautiful day and we sure made the most of it with Rachel, Jared and the bridal party. We got to try out some new locations with the three or so hours that Rachel left for us between the ceremony and reception for photos. Rachel wanted a fun, relaxing time and a lot of variety, so we were happy to oblige.

Ryan and Shona’s wedding at Fellows Riverside Garden in Youngstown

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Ryan and Shona’s wedding had a lot of things going for it: beautiful weather, a great location with a ton of variety, a bride with a very strong design sense and a groom with a great sense of humor who together make a couple who are totally into each other. We had some time before [...]

Bryan and Ruth’s wedding at Kirtland Country Club

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Bryan and Ruth had a “sophisticated country” wedding at Kirtland Country Club that was not lacking in details. With Ruthie having gone to the Cleveland Institute of Art where she developed a keen sense of design, we knew their wedding would come together beautifully. While the decor, food and lighting was amazing, what made the day significant was the palpable love the couple has for each other. Bryan is probably one of the most romantic guys I’ve met. It’s easy to see how he won Ruthie over.

Ed and Noelle’s vintage glam wedding at the Cleveland Courthouse

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Ed and Noelle designed a beautifully unique wedding together with plenty of elements comming together to give the event a very classic, vintage galmour feel. From the obvious, like the 1960 Rolls Royce (complete with right-side driver’s seat) and the architechture at the Old Courthouse, to the subtle, like Ed’s bow-tie and cumberbun tuxedo, and the letterpress invitations, it was clear that Ed and Noelle had a clear vision for their wedding before they set out to plan, and all without the help of a professional wedding planner!

Gary and Leah’s wedding at Elyria Country Club

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

We already knew Gary and Leah had great chemistry from their engagement session. What we did not predict was a repeat of the weather we had for that session at their Elyria Country Club wedding. While stormy and windy skies were aplenty, this did not really affect the couple’s and their bridal party’s attitudes. I dare say they were even more into each other as ever (Gary and Leah that is).

Ben and Keira’s wedding at the Cleveland Marriott

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

Our last wedding before we take off with the family to France for a week was Ben and Keira’s wedding at The Church of the Gesu with a beautiful reception at the Downtown Marriott at Key Center. It was really cool to see that all of the music for the ceremony was done by friends and family of Ben and Keira and it was all very well done! After the ceremony, we headed over to the Cleveland Art Museum and the Mall C area for some photos with the bridal party. It was a tad warm, but the bridal party were really good sports about it and I think we got some great images I think.

Tim and Kim’s wedding at St. Alberts and Landerhaven

Monday, July 27th, 2009

It has certainly been a busy year for Tim and Kim with two cross-country moves, finishing up a doctorate degree, new jobs, and planning a wedding. If any of this stressed Tim or Kim out, you would have never known it by being around them on their wedding day. Even the constant threat of heavy, [...]

Coleman and Brianna at the Cleveland Renaissance

Monday, July 20th, 2009

Smart, sweet, fun loving, with great taste are just few words I would use to describe Brianna and Coleman. They are such a great compliment to one another, it’s hard to imagine them apart.
What’s better then one stunning dress and an amazing pair of shoes? Why TWO of course! It makes for double the fun. [...]

Tom and Rhonda’s wedding at Sammy’s Manakiki and Legacy Village

Monday, July 13th, 2009

When Tom and Rhonda told us that they both manage catering and events for Sammy’s, one for the largest catering companies here in the Cleveland area, we weren’t too terribly surprised to hear that they would be making use of both the Manakiki Golf Club location for the ceremony, and the Legacy Village location for the reception. Even if they hadn’t told us, the fact that Rhonda went around hugging the wait staff at Legacy during cocktail hour probably would have tipped us off that something was up. :)

Joe and Katie’s wedding at the Union Club in Downtown Cleveland

Monday, July 6th, 2009

This past Friday, Katie’s Dad got to walk Katie down the aisle to meet Joe just six months after he walked Katie’s sister down the aisle to meet her new husband. I’ll bet it’s been quite the year for Katie’s family, and from what we could tell, Katie and Joe’s wedding was the perfect capstone to what I imagine was a pretty interesting season of planning.

Michael and Kelly’s wedding at Landerhaven

Monday, June 29th, 2009

One Friday we got to meet up with Michael and Kelly for their wedding at St. Paschal Baylon Parish. Michael and Kelly, and the whole bridal party for that matter, were just a ton of fun to be around, which made the day fly by. Since we were out on a Friday, we had the luxury of having Squire’s Castle completely to ourselves for photos with the bridal party, which was a really nice change. Really beautiful and interesting locations like this are usually crawling with photographers and bridal party’s on Saturdays during the summer months and we got to miss all of that. We then headed over to Landerhaven’s Grand Ballroom for a fantastic reception and entertainment by the Marino Brothers.

Erin and Dave’s wedding at Windows on the River

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Erin and Dave met at a small neighborhood bar in Tremont, a neighborhood of Cleveland, called the Prosperity Social Club. As we discussed our various options for pre-ceremony photo locations, the Prosperity became the obvious choice, and for good reason. It held significant sentimental value to both Erin and Dave, and it’s just a dang cool place to shoot. If the Prosperity Social Club was near my house, I would totally hang out there.

Matt and Megan’s wedding at the Hyatt Regency Arcade

Monday, June 15th, 2009

Friday was an absolutely perfect day in Cleveland with temperatures hovering in the lower seventies, very little humidity, and just enough of a breeze to keep things comfortable in a tux or wedding dress. Despite the limo driver’s best attempts to sabotage the schedule, we were still able to make it to Voinovich park for a few images by the lake as well as Mall C by the fountain. Thankfully, the reception was very close by at the stunningly beautiful Arcade in downtown Cleveland.

James and Rachel’s rooftop wedding at the Cleveland Embassy Suites

Monday, June 1st, 2009

We were already looking forward to James and Rachel’s rooftop wedding at the Cleveland Embassy Suites, but we were in for quite a treat when we saw all the fun details they had planned. From the shoes, the rings, birdcage veil, the knee-length wedding dress purchased on Etsy, the paper flowers, the rooftop ceremony and the art gallery reception, this wedding was certainly unique and full of personality.

David and Rebecca’s wedding at Cleveland’s Museum of Natural History

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

On Sunday, we had the pleasure of shooting in a very unique location for Rebecca and David’s wedding. Both David and Rebecca are currently in med school, which in their case, means a deep love and respect for all things science, thus making a museum based in science a very fitting place to be wed. Despite Sunday being a shorting shooting day then we are used to, we still ended up coming home with almost the same number of images that we usually take in a much longer day. The combination of the unique setting and the deep connections between David and Rebecca and their families gave us plenty of reason to stay in the viewfinder throughout the whole day.

Grace and Leon’s wedding at the Embassy Suites in Cleveland, Ohio

Monday, May 4th, 2009

Grace and Leon’s wedding day was a very interesting blend of Grace’s Taiwanese, and Leon’s Greek roots. While the invitations, programs and favors were obviously inspired by Grace, the Greek Orthodox ceremony, grape leaf and spanakopita hors d’oeuvres and traditional Greek reception music brought a healthy dose of Greek flavor to the day. A lot [...]

C.C. and Kevin’s wedding at Blue Canyon

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Kevin and C.C.’s wedding was a little different for us in that the ceremony started at 10:00AM followed by a brunch reception at the Blue Canyon restaurant. This didn’t leave much time between the ceremony and the reception, so C.C. and Kevin scheduled several hours for the four of us to roam around Cleveland after the reception for photos. This made for a relaxing afternoon with plenty of time to hit some of C.C.’s favorite spots as well as ours.

Thomas and Magdalena’s wedding at the Cleveland Courthouse

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

For Magda and Tom’s wedding/bridal/family formal session we had free reign of the Cleveland Courthouse which is one of my favorite places to shoot. This was not your typical wedding since the actual ceremony took place two weeks prior on a day we were already booked. The next best thing was to include their closest [...]

Mark and Lori’s wedding at the Cleveland Renaissance Grand Ballroom

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

As the details started to come about Mark and Lori’s wedding at the Renaissance in downtown Cleveland, we knew it was going to be an interesting day. It’s not every weekend that we see a couple succeed in putting together such a strong team of wedding professionals together. Everything from the catering management and staff, the event coordination, floral decor, event lighting, videography, cake, and entertainment was handled by some of the area’s best in the business, and we were happy to be a part of the team. Here are some of our favorite images from the day.

Jason and Helyn’s wedding in Cleveland

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Jason and Helyn are a couple full of energy, creativity and a quirky sense of humor. Stir all these items up and you’ve got a fun filled wedding for friends, family and us. They are also the parents of Xander who has no idea what a stranger is. While Jason and Helyn had some ideas for photos, they also gave us free reign to create unique images that really capture their essence. From walking through slush to dealing with wind, these guys kept a smile and a great attitude the whole time. Thanks for letting us capture your big day!

Murl and Heather’s wedding at the Ambassador Ballroom in Erie, PA

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Ok, we’ve neglected our poor blog long enough and I think it’s time to get some fresh images up here. Thankfully, we had a fantastic wedding to shoot this weekend which provided us with a lot of images that we are really excited about showing you. Heather and Merl are a different kind of client for us in that they are both photographers themselves. Heather has a studio in downtown Erie where she shoot weddings and portraits much like we do. We were quite honored to hear that they were so determined to have us come to Erie to shoot thier wedding, and we gladly accepted. Knowing that you are shooting for a colleague and peer can really keep you on your toes but it was also very nice to see that they understood what we were doing and why throughout the entire day.

Evan and Elizabeth’s wedding – The Union Club

Monday, November 17th, 2008

I thought Evan summed up the weather situation quite nicely when at the hotel before heading to the church, he looked out the window and jokingly said “huh, November in Ohio; I thought it would be a lot nicer than this.” Well, I don’t know what Novembers are like in Vermont where Evan is from, but Saturday was about as “November” as November gets. Near freezing temperatures, a mile thick layer of cloud, and rain coming down more sideways than down. Lots of rain. Rain on a wedding is a good sign, right?

Here are my photos, I started with the guys at the Wyndham:

Scott and Jen’s wedding in Mentor, Ohio

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Scott and Jen’s wedding this past Saturday was one of those all to rare weddings with a schedule that provided almot more than enough time to hang out with, photograph, and experiment with the bridal party and the bride and groom. With almost three hours to use up, we had the opportunity to persue ideas and inspirations that sometimes have to be backburnered because of time contraints. This worked out well for Scott and Jen as they made it very clear to us that their wedding photography was very, very high on their priority list. Combine that with absolutely perfect weather and shooting conditions and you have a recipe for a ton of really cool material.

Austin and Alison’s wedding at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens

Monday, September 29th, 2008

This past Saturday, we had the pleasure of taking part in Alison and Austin’s wedding at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Austin did his best to warn us about their bridal party because evidently, Austin had accumulated years worth of payback in the form of pranks, jokes, and stunts during social events and there was a good chance that there were some who would be looking to settle some old scores. Nothing got too out of hand, thankfully, but seeing their friend and family dressed up as Austin and Alison in childhood photographs was pretty funny!

Ed and Lisa’s reception at the Pine Lake Trout Club

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

Ok, so we’re a little late getting this post up. Being without power since Sunday has really been a drag but we’re going to try to keep plugging away anyway.

Lisa and Ed originally planned to be married back in April but at some point over the winter, they decided they didn’t want to wait that long and decided to elope in Key West. They still wanted to celebrate with their friends and family so they planned this “night of merry making” at the Pine Lake Trout Club in Chagrin Falls, Ohio just for that purpose.

Michael and Lyndsay’s wedding at Quail Hollow Resort

Monday, September 8th, 2008

I’ve been looking forward to Michael and Lindsay’s wedding a little while now. One reason: Lindsay is the cousin of two other couples we photographed so we knew there would be familiar faces and that we would have a great time. Reason two: Michael is from France so I’d have the opportunity to speak french with him and his family. Reason three: they loved the idea of using industrial backgrounds for photos and scoped out places for us. What’s not to love about this couple?

Luntz Anniversary at Oakwood Country Club

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

About one month ago, I asked by Pink Papaya Events if I would consider photographing an Emerald wedding anniversary at Oakwood Country Club. While this was a little outside of what I typically do, I am always willing to try something new. I loved the idea of photographing a couple still in love after 55 [...]

Jeff and Tracy’s wedding at the Metropolitan Ballroom

Monday, August 25th, 2008

Because Jeff and Tracy planned their Cleveland wedding from Chicago, we didn’t get a chance to meet them until just a few short weeks before the wedding would take place. As we learned about the various details throughout the planning process, we got the impression that this would be both a very unique, and classy event. When we finally got to meet Tracy and Jeff, they confirmed our suspicions and with the help of event planner extraordinaire, Valarie Kirkbride of Kirkbride’s Events, the wedding met and exceeded our expectations.

Greg and Meredith’s wedding at the Strongsville Holiday Inn

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

Evidently, being one of eight siblings pretty much ensures that there will never be a dull moment when you get the family together. That’s at least how it felt spending the day with Meredith, Greg, and his seven siblings at their wedding in Strongsville, Ohio. From the games of pit and table hockey [...]

Matt and Megan’s wedding at Cathedral of St. John and Landerhaven

Monday, August 11th, 2008

We have been looking forward to photographing Matt and Megan’s wedding for quite a while now, and when the guest list topped 1000 at one point, we knew we were going to have a very interesting day. While the size of the guest list and bridal party (twenty-two) certainly made this wedding unique, what really stood out in my mind was what great people Matt and Megan was to be around. After getting to know them a little, it’s not that suprising that so many people would want to be a witness to their marriage. Megan is a very tender spirit while Matt’s good nature kept the mood light and fun.

Chris and Stephanie’s wedding at the Lakewood Country Club

Monday, August 4th, 2008

Welcome to the third installment of the Amy-Julie-Stephanie wedding trifecta – three weddings spanning three years with all three in each other’s bridal parties. We’ve had an absolute blast getting to know this group of friends and we have been quite honored to photograph all three of these weddings.

Steve and Victoria’s wedding at Deluca’s Place

Monday, July 7th, 2008

This past Saturday, we had the pleasure of photographing Steve and Tori’s wedding at Deluca’s Place in Lorain. We were honored as a professional graphic designer and even a wedding photographer in a previous life, Tori chose to have us cover her day. The invitations and the lighting arrangement under the pavilion (both designed by Tori) were amazing!

Brandon and Megan’s wedding – Divine Word + Mooreland Mansion

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Brandon and Megan were the very first couple to book us for a 2008 date which means it has been a loooong time since we first met them to talk about their wedding. We had been looking forward to shooting another wedding at The Mooreland Mansion as we had not been there for [...]

K’s boudoir

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

I won’t say much about K’s boudoir other than I had such a great time trying out some new ideas. I am so excited to update my gallery with some new images for the last sessions I’ve done.
Enjoy these tasteful teasers:

Little Caden

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

I had a great time photographing Jonathon and Tricia almost 2 years ago so I knew I would also have a great time with their son Caden. I’m glad I was able to capture this sweet and peaceful side of him before he starts crawling all over the place and keeping his parents busy.
Caden definitely [...]

Brian and Katie – Renaissance Hotel Cleveland

Monday, June 16th, 2008

We have been looking forward to Brian and Katie’s wedding for several reasons:

#1 they totally trust us for photos were willing to go anywhere we recommended in the 3 hour brake between ceremony and reception

#2 they chose some fantastic vendors (and I don’t mean us) that make our day even more enjoyable. One great example was Scott and Carla from Moonstruck Productions but keep on reading to see the others.

#3 we photographed Katie’s sister’s wedding so it was like a mini-reunion to be with them. It all added up to a lot of fun!

Kevin and Isabel’s wedding at Landerhaven

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

What a weekend last weekend was. The Sunday after Dan and Christie’s wedding, we headed back up to Beachwood to join Kevin and Isabel for the wedding at Landerhaven. It was obvious that both Kevin and Isabel have highly developed senses of style and aesthetics, which carried over to many parts of their wedding from Kevin’s suit, to the table decor, the cake and many others. I think the Rabbi nailed it when he could tell that Isabel had chosen the cup used in the ceremony because it “had her grace about it.”

Daniel and Christie’s wedding at Mooreland Mansion

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

o much to blog, so little time. After two engagement sessions on Friday, we headed up to Kirkland, Ohio to celebrate the wedding of Daniel and Christie at the Mooreland Mansion on Saturday. We always have a great time shooting at the mansion, and Dan and Christie made it especially easy for us. We love it when couples give us some time to play and experiment without being on a super time crunch, which happens from time to time. Dan and Christie were both very comfortable in front of the camera, and even more importantly, were very comfortable with each other.

Jeff and Natalie are getting hitched!

Monday, May 26th, 2008

Jeff and Natalie’s relationship stretches back to their high school days at Chagrin Falls where they met and fell in love. The football field, her locker where Jeff had scribbled some “Jeff loves Natalie” graffiti and the band room all played especially significant roles in the formative years of their relationship. The two [...]

Mary and Erik’s Wedding – Cleveland Courthouse

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Mary and Erik got our season off to a great start on Saturday. We were both hoping we hadn’t lost our edge since we haven’t shot a wedding since January, but once we started shooting, we fell into a groove right away and the ideas and inspiration flowed. It’s always a little risky hoping for outdoor photos in early April, but Mary and Erik got a really nice break in the weather and we were able to have all kinds of fun near their reception site at the Old Courthouse in Downtown Cleveland.

Images from the Boudoir Marathon

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Sorry for the delay ladies. I’ve been in bed sick for the past 3 days but I thought it was time to share some tasty images from this past weekend. So in no specific order, here are the teasers:
Thank you for a lovely time ladies. I hope you had as much fun as I did!

Brandon and Ashley’s wedding at The Bertram Inn

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

This last Saturday, we had the opportunity to photograph the awesome wedding of Ashley and Brandon. It didn’t take long for us to figure out that these two and their bridal party were going to be a lot of fun, and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere the whole day was high energy and fun which carried over to the dance floor very well. Brandon is an Army Ranger stationed in Texas with 43 soldiers under him, so I can definitely understand why he would want to let loose and have some fun!

Mary and Erik and Engaged!

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

Mary and Erik braved some blustery downtown Cleveland weather for their engagement session this past Tuesday. Erik used to live and work in the area so he was able to point out some cool places to go to that I might not have found on my own. Stay tuned come April if you [...]

Michael and Danielle’s wedding – Heights Rockefeller Center

Monday, December 10th, 2007

How do I begin to describe kindness and sweetness of Danielle and Michael and not to mention smartness? For starters, because of a water main brake they took the time to write and draw out maps for a detour route when they should have been getting ready. They frequently checked in with us making sure we had enough food and drinks and I know they took good care of all the guests that traveled to celebrate this special day with them. James and I feel lucky and blessed they asked us to photograph their wedding. They made our job easy by showing their genuine emotions throughout the day.

Becky and Nick are getting married!

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

About an hour after I finished the session with Ashley and Brandon, I met up with Becky and Nick for their engagement session. There was a temptation to go back to all the same places and do all the same things I had done with Ashley and Brandon two hours earlier, but we ended up [...]

Ashley and Brandon are engaged!

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

Yeah, it’s a little risky planning engagement sessions this late in the year, but Ashley and Brandon lucked out with clear weather, bareable temperatures, and a TON of wind. I had some indoor and covered locations in mind just in case, but thankfully, we didn’t have to rely on them. Stay tuned for their [...]

Luke and Stephanie’s Wedding – Cleveland Renaissance Hotel

Monday, November 5th, 2007

What a wedding to end the season on! I can’t believe how all the details came together beautifully. Everything was present:
gorgeous church, yep
stunning light, definite yes
fun bridal party, check
desire for unusual photos, but of course
beautiful decor at the Renaissance, yes

Matt and Christina – 10/13/07

Monday, October 15th, 2007

On Saturday, we had the honor of photographing Matt and Christina’s wedding; a beautiful affair that began and ended in the heart of Downtown Cleveland. We had an early-ish ceremony which gave us a ton of time to go all around Cleveland for a relaxing and fun time capturing images of the couple and [...]

Rob and Sarah – 9/15/07

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

This past Saturday, I had the good fortune of second shooting with Jamie Jansen. It was the first time I have ever shot a wedding that we hadn’t booked ourselves, so it was a very interesting experience. Jamie shot with me in July while Genevieve was on bedrest due to complications with her [...]

Olenger and Jennifer – 09/08/07

Monday, September 10th, 2007

We’ve been looking forward to Jenn and Ollie’s wedding since we did their engagement photos and saw Ollie’s contagious smile. Of course he did not disappoint on the big day. There were some tears too but they were of happiness so of course we captured them.
Jennifer got ready with her ladies at the Renaissance.
She and [...]

Paul and Mandy – 8/25/08

Monday, August 27th, 2007

This past Saturday, we had the pleasure of joining Paul and Mandy for their wedding in Chardon, Ohio. One thing was certain, and that is that Paul and Mandy know how to assemble a really fun bridal party. Hanging out with them was a true pleasure, and it made the day go buy [...]

Bryan and Julie’s wedding at the Hyatt Arcade in Cleveland, Ohio

Monday, August 20th, 2007

Bryan and Julie gathered with about 90 of their close friends and family at the Hyatt Arcade in downtown Cleveland to celebrate what would turn out to be a very emotional day for those involved. Julie’s Mother passed away some years ago, but her presence there was palpable.

Mike and Cheri 8/11/07

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

It turns out that a morning ceremony combined with an evening reception makes for a really long day, but the time was well spent with Mike and Cheri and their entourage of no less than 18 bridesmaids and groomsmen this past Saturday. We arrived at Cheri’s parents house bright and early to get the [...]

Kyle and Carolyn – 08/10/07

Monday, August 13th, 2007

What a wonderful time with a wonderful couple on a wonderful day we had this past Friday. If you think I’m exaggerating, it’s because you don’t know Kyle and Carolyn. They are some of the kindest whole hearted people you’ll meet. For being a tough guy who likes to play football, Kyle also [...]

Faith and Jamie – 7/21/07

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

So how many of you remember Faith and Jamie from back in January? That’s right! They are the couple that won the free wedding contest! We got the feeling from their submission and the comments from those who voted that Faith and Jamie were fantastic individuals greatly deserving of whatever blessing we were [...]

Brian and Kim’s wedding at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown

Monday, July 9th, 2007

Brian and Kim were the first couple to book us for a 2007 wedding, and happened to pick the most popular date in recent history to have a wedding. We could have booked the mystical 777 about seven times over, but all I can say is that I’m glad Brian and Kim got to us first. It was a fantastic day with a really cool couple that was a lot of fun to work with. It’s not easy planning a wedding from another city (they are Chicago residents), but they pulled off a beautiful wedding with the help of the Cleveland Marriott Downtown anyway.

Kevin and Jessica 6/30/07

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

Kevin and Jessica chose the grassy terrace at the Atwood Lake Resort overlooking the lake as the setting for what would turn out to be an awesome ceremony under perfectly blue skies. These two really knew how to relax and take in the day and where a joy to work with.
Getting Ready:

The ringbearers provided [...]

Doug and Jenn – 06/08/07

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

We had the pleasure to photograph Doug and Jenn amidst fickle weather. You’ll see what mean with the photos of the windy ceremony at the Lakehouse Inn and Winery. At least we managed to avoid the rain.
Doug (on the left) is the brother of Marc (on the right) who’s wedding we captured in January. It [...]

Heather and Patrick

Monday, June 4th, 2007

What a fun day we had with Heather, Patrick, their bridal parties and family despite the heat. Everyone was pretty easygoing which made for some fun and laid-back photos. It’s obvious these people know how to have a blast together.
Heather got ready at the Marriott at Key Center where we eventually came back to to [...]

Rebecca and Eric

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

The second wedding we covered was on Sunday for Rebecca and Eric at the Club at Hillbrook. It was fun to see Eric bring out the best in Rebecca, especially her smiles. His easy going, fun-loving personality is just one of the reason Rebecca and his son Ben love him such much. Rebecca meanwhile brings [...]

Jennifer and Joseph

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Our first double wedding weekend started on Saturday May 26th with Jen and Joe. They are such a great couple with wonderful taste from decor to food and fashion. While the overall feel of the wedding was glamorous (and Jenny looked amazing with her dress, deep red lips and birdcage veil), they asked us for [...]

Melissa and Joseph

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

What a great way to officially start wedding season with Missy and Joe’s wedding. The setting for the ceremony was her grandparents house in Martins Ferry on the bridge built by grandpa himself. One great part was incorporating the restored Ford pick-up truck into the photos. But more than the little details that surrounded Missy [...]

Megan and Marc

Saturday, January 6th, 2007

Happy and heartfelt are the main words I would use to describe Marc and Megan. They are so happy to be around eachother, their family and their friends. The couple kept smiling the whole day (even if some tears of joy also flowed). Since their happiness is so warm and genuine, you can’t help but [...]

Patti and Anthony

Monday, December 4th, 2006

This past Saturday December 2nd, was a cold one in Cleveland. Anthony, Patti and the whole bridal party were a great sport about doing outside photos. It probably helped that we did a couple stops at bars for “warming” beverages.
Patricia was stunning in a Vera Wang dress. The overlapping translucent fabric and black bow [...]

Lauren and Jeff

Monday, October 23rd, 2006

Lauren and Jeff celebrated their 7 year anniversary this past Saturday as well as their wedding. It will make it easy to remember key dates! After being together that long it migh be easy to seem content or almost bored with the relationship but Lauren and Jeff were very much excited, happy and affectionate throughout [...]

Amy and David

Monday, October 9th, 2006

Amy and David both worked hard to plan a stylish retro wedding with an emphasis on the city which they like so much. Those efforts were rewared with a cool atmosphere and gorgeous day. While being 50s oriented, the wedding kept a modern, fun and hip feel to it.
David enjoys photography and has entered [...]

Julie and Frank

Monday, October 9th, 2006

If there ever was a sweet, caring, gentle-hearted and selfless couple, Julie and Frank are it. Their actions and demeanor are so thoughtfull of others you can’t help but count yourself blessed to know them. Friday October 6th was blessed with gorgeous light and weather making for a wonderful day to get married. This [...]

Tricia and Jonathon

Monday, October 2nd, 2006

This is the kind of couple you would love to relax and share a few drinks with. They are fun and laid back (despite the minister showing up minutes before she was to walk down the aisle) with a great style. So maybe I’m a little biased since she chose red as a main color. [...]

Jennifer and Michael

Monday, September 18th, 2006

Jenny and Mike are such a sweet couple. During the ceremony at St John the Baptist, they couldn’t keep their eyes off each other and smile. Friends and family also spent most of the day smiling, laughing and enjoying spending time together. After 7 years together, Jenny and Mike are already part of each other’s [...]

Christina and Joe

Monday, September 4th, 2006

This couple and their friends were such fun to be around. Christina and Joe are carefree, easygoing and willing to do almost anything for their photos (including laying on rocks near a waterfall). Thanks guys! Enjoy your honeymoon in Hawaii.

Michelle and Jason

Monday, August 7th, 2006

Michelle and Jason had lots of family and friends to support their commitment on Saturday August 5th. Having 23 people in the bridal party is a great example of their devoted friends. Rhyan, Michelle’s daughter, did a great job as flower girl.
Michelle was not afraid to be different. From her dress, to her flowers and [...]

Mina and Greg

Tuesday, July 18th, 2006

Mina and Greg had an intimate wedding at his parent’s back yard in Bay Village on July 16th. Friends and family gathered from near and far, very far. Mina’s Mother, sister and cousin came from Japan to witness this special occasion. The readings were the most diverse and meaningful I have ever heard. When his [...]
