Mike and Amy’s Wedding at Cleveland’s Old Courthouse

It’s been six years since Mike, or “Mendy” as he was often called, took Amy around college introducing her to everyone as “My beautiful girlfiend, Amy.” Well, that all changed on Saturday. Not the “beautiful” part, that’s true now more than ever. Just the “girlfriend” part. Mike now has the pleasure of introducing Amy as “My beautiful wife” which, as he may agree, has a nice ring to it.

We’ve shot at the Old Courthouse on Lakeside Road quite a few times, but this our first ceremony at the Courthouse, and a beautiful ceremony location it is. Expectations for the weather were low, but it shaped up to be a beautiful day in Cleveland anyway, so we actually spent quite a bit of time shooting outside.

Mike and Amy, thank you so much for having us along to document your day. Congratulations, and have a great time on the Honeymoon!

Michael and Brandi’s elegant wedding at St John’s cathedral and old Courthouse

How does one describe Michael and Brandi’s wedding at St John’s cathedral and the old Cleveland courthouse without being repetitive with the word amazing? How about saying it was sophisticated, stunning, classy and elegant? So much effort went into planning this fantastic day that I knew the results would be nothing short of amazing. How could it not be with the coordination of Tricia at Always Eventful, the flowers from Stephen Tokar, food by Bon Appetit, music by Jerry Bruno Orchestra, cake by Phyllis Lester and video by 2nd Mile. Even the timing of the servers to simultaneously pour the champagne was planned. Thankfully Brandi also had the foresight to decide to take all photos indoor or we might have ran into some problems with the rain. Even if it was dreary outside, everything indoor was festive and celebratory. Congrats you two!

Tom and Eileen’s wedding at the Cleveland Courthouse

Several years ago at the University of Dayton, Tom was overheard saying to one of his friends “Of course there are plenty of girls out there you can date but then there’s THE girl that you picture yourself marrying like Eileen.” Little did Tom know that he would end up marrying the girl of his dreams. Sure it took some time but it’s obvious that Tom and Eileen’s relationship is built on a strong friendship that will stand the test of time.

The couple (yes the groom was very involved) planned a simple and elegant wedding in Cleveland that started at St Gregory the Great and ended at the Courthouse. It’s hard to go wrong with the decor of the cuyahoga county courthouse. They were surrounded by many friends to celebrate including two priests that are long friends of the family. Also notable are some top notch vendors they picked including Scott Jones from Jerry Bruno and Scott from Moonstruck Productions.

Ed and Noelle’s vintage glam wedding at the Cleveland Courthouse

Ed and Noelle designed a beautifully unique wedding together with plenty of elements comming together to give the event a very classic, vintage galmour feel. From the obvious, like the 1960 Rolls Royce (complete with right-side driver’s seat) and the architechture at the Old Courthouse, to the subtle, like Ed’s bow-tie and cumberbun tuxedo, and the letterpress invitations, it was clear that Ed and Noelle had a clear vision for their wedding before they set out to plan, and all without the help of a professional wedding planner!

Ed’s cuff links were Boston Transit tokens; an aknowledgement of that Noelle grew up in Boston, and much of her family is still there.

Noelle’s family priest, who also married her parents, came from Boston to perform the ceremony at St Mary of the Falls.

Mary and Erik and Engaged!

Mary and Erik braved some blustery downtown Cleveland weather for their engagement session this past Tuesday. Erik used to live and work in the area so he was able to point out some cool places to go to that I might not have found on my own. Stay tuned come April if you would to see their wedding images too. Congrats, guys!

Ashley and Brandon are engaged!

Yeah, it’s a little risky planning engagement sessions this late in the year, but Ashley and Brandon lucked out with clear weather, bareable temperatures, and a TON of wind. I had some indoor and covered locations in mind just in case, but thankfully, we didn’t have to rely on them. Stay tuned for their wedding photos in the not too terribly distant future. Can’t wait!

Heather and Patrick

What a fun day we had with Heather, Patrick, their bridal parties and family despite the heat. Everyone was pretty easygoing which made for some fun and laid-back photos. It’s obvious these people know how to have a blast together.

Heather got ready at the Marriott at Key Center where we eventually came back to to avoid the heat.

Patrick and Heather couldn’t keep their eyes off each other throughout the entire ceremony and smile.

Somehow the ceremony at Holy Cross didn’t manage to grab everyone’s attention.

James didn’t have much prompting to do with the guys but he currently seems to be batting a 1000 in terms of cool different groomsmen photos.
