My mind is always racing with new ideas to photograph so when I mentioned doing a special and fun project to Valarie of Kirkbrides Wedding Planning, I was thrilled to hear she was on board. She took the idea and ran with it beyond my expectations. A team of Ohio wedding professionals donated their time, energy and creative talents for a one of a kind shoot. L’Nique recently hosted a one of a kind wedding industry event. This extravagant and delectable evening which showcased some amazing Cleveland Ohio talent was intended for wedding professionals instead of brides. The networking event was a huge success.
We will be hosting our second Matilda Jane Trunk Show on Thursday April 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30pm. All are welcome! The studio can be found at : 2401 Whipple Ave NW in Canton.

It’s hard not to remember Jimmy and Becci’s bright and upbeat wedding. They included some fun elements that could be lovely in a real wedding feature. Almost two months we received some wonderful news from the Knot. If you have never heard of it, you must not be a bride. Anyway… the good news was two-fold. We were waiting for the magazine to come out before sharing the good news.
First: one our 2009 couples, Dave and Erin’s real wedding was published in their Ohio Knot magazine. If you would like to see the photos we blogged from their wedding, click here. This wasn’t just a single page feature but a three page one which made it even more special. Thanks Dave and Erin for planning such a lovely wedding. You guys were a blast to photograph and I’m thrilled felt the same about the resulting images.
I wanted to post a quick recap of the wonderful bridal soiree we had over a week ago. The event exceeed my expectations thanks to everyone who took time off on a weekend night to attend and to the participating wedding professionals. They jumped in without knowing what to expect as this was the first event of it’s kind in this area. I truly think this night a night to remember. The details in the four distinct wedding styles were truly inspirational. It was wonderful to see what some of the local top notch wedding professionals are capable of when given the opportunity to be creative. I hope we get to plan more soirees like this one.
It’s a little hard for me to believe that 2009 is already in the books and that we are on to 2010. 2009 was a fantastic but very busy year for us. We shot more wedding last year than we ever and so far, 2010 is shaping up to be even better. In 2009 we shot on rooftops, on a farm, at a steel plant, in the snow, in the searing sun, in the rain, a couple of parking garages, in back allys, in near darkness, in a basement barely large enough to fit the four of us, in open fields, a dive bar, surrounded in marble, in art galleries, a historic theater, and more. That’s about all I can really think to say about 2008. In just about every way measureable, 2008 was just huge for us, and we’d like to thank everyone that has been a part of it. Not only our wedding and portrait clients, but the other wedding professionals that we worked with, our families, the Taco Tuesday people, and our support team.
We have several things in store in the next couple months even if posting will be slowing down.
#1 Boudoir Marathon at a location still to be determined the weekend of January 17th. Photos and albums will ready in time for Valentines Day.
