The Waikem twins

Monday, November 17th, 2008

After getting some great pregnancy photos of Kim a month ago, I was waiting for the call to come photograph the twins once they were born. These two little ones are so cute even if I made them cry and wore them out. I knew it might be a challenge to get photos of both [...]

Sweet Scarlett

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Eric and Ashley are such a sweet and kind couple that we love to hear from them after photographing their wedding 2 Augusts ago. We were thrilled to hear they had their first baby: a little girl named Scarlett! Yes they are Ohio State fans.

Parents are naturally biased as am I. So when Ashley said that Scarlett is a cute, smily and adorable chubby baby I was a little sceptic (because my babies are very cute). Sure enough I was blown away by Scarlett’s great personality and joviality. I’m so happy I get to photograph such cuddly and loveable babies like her.

The Lynch grandchildren

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

‘Tis the season for thinking about Christmas presents. That’s what Lisa and her sister-in-law were planning for when they asked about having their kids photographed for Grandma. Let’s hope she doesn’t check this blog or the surprise is ruined!

The Ferrara Family with little Owen

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

I met Shannon when she was a bridesmaid in Paul and Nicole’s wedding we photographed in August 07. Nicole’s mom knew Shannon was expecting her first born and bought a gift certificate for us to photograph the growing family. Like many mom’s with the arrival of their first born, life changes and so does schedules, habits and expectations so the photo session happened later than expected. I was thrilled when I was finally able to meet Owen. He is such a happy guy!

Stella turns one!

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

After rescheduling due to bad weather, we finally had a nice day to photograph Stella and celebrate her first birthday. For being so young, Stella has such a bubbly personality. Making her smile was pretty easy.

Happy Birthday Stella!

The Towell Family in Akron Ohio

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

I had the pleasure of photographing the Towell Family during one of the last nice days of fall at their home in Akron, Ohio. Little Tommy, who isn’t quite 2 months old in these photos, is such a cute baby. Some babies have those chubby cheeks and legs that you are just wanting to squeeze. Tommy is one of those babies.

The Jordan Family at Virgina Kendall

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

For anyone who follows this blog closely, you might remember the Bradley Family that I photographed at Virgina Kendall a few weeks ago. The Jordans are their neighbors and Trevin and Sammy boys are best pals (most of the time).

I loved how much initiative and enthusiasm Trevin showed in the photos. His parents did pretty good too. So good in fact that I used their photos to create a new proofbook. I’ll let the photos do the talking:

The Bradley Family session at Virginia Kendall

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

I had the pleasure of photographing the Bradleys late in the fall last year and we tried again earlier in the season this time. While the weather was daunting leading up to the session, I am so glad we still went ahead with it. The two little ones kept me hopping to get the photos the photos I wanted. I’m also glad Anna warmed up to me before the session ended. By next year, I’m hoping the kids will be excited to see me.

Little Avery in Hartville

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

We photographed Brian and Mandi’s wedding three years ago in Hartville and I had the fun job of coming back to photograph their firstborn daughter: Avery. That is such a nice name to go with an adorable face!

Naked babies are so cute! Even if they decide to look all serious

Baby Jackson in Broadview Heights

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Tory and Erin are one of the first couples who’s wedding I photographed back in my film days. They might not know that their wedding photos are part of the reason why I am doing this today. I loved the experience and the results so much from their wedding that I started to seriously consider photography as a career. Here we are 4 plus year later and I have a job that I love.

Dane is one year old in Canton Ohio

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

We had a great time a couple years ago photographing Stephen and Tricia’ wedding. In fact, they were one of the first couples we blogged. I know how much they value photography so it means a lot that they trust us with with these family milestones. I then had the opportunity to take photos of Dane as a newborn and just again recently on his actual birthday at Stadium Park in Canton Ohio. Dane is now one with tons of energy, smiles and love. It’s so nice to see families grow when you’ve captured the beginning of the family unit: the wedding!

The Drago Family Portraits in Mentor Ohio

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

Here’s Pay-It-Forward session #2 with the Drago family. This time I headed to Mentor Headlands which is a fun place that combines sandy beach and dunes. Sandy beach in Ohio? Hard to believe but just check out the photos and it looks like another place.

The Forrest Family photos in Hudson, Ohio

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

John took photos of various photographer families as part of a Pay It Forward project. It seems most photographers rarely take the time to have someone else photograph them. This is an effort to make sure photographers families are also photographed and keep spreading the photo love.

With that background information I will now show photos from the Forrest family. Andrew Jordan joined us for the session as well. These were done in their yard in Hudson but then we wandered a little past their property limit.

Brian and Kelly are having a baby!

Friday, September 12th, 2008

We’ve known Brian and Kelly since they hired us for their wedding almost 5 years ago. We had a blast at their wedding and enjoy hearing from them time to time so we were thrilled to hear they were expecting their first, a boy. As with their wedding photos, they were willing to try just about anything for the maternity photos (thanks Brian for taking your shirt off). I think the results speak for themselves:

Christmas in September

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

While it might seem early to be thinking about the holidays, it will be here before you know it. We would like to encourage everyone who is thinking of giving photos as Christmas presents to book their photo sessions now!

The Clark Family Portrait Session

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

A few months ago, we got an e-mail from a past wedding client, Ashley, saying the she wanted to surprise her parents on their aniversay with a family portrait session. We thought that was a great idea, and evidently, so did Ashley’s mom because she started crying when she was us walk into her kitchen with cameras in hand.

Our little kiddos

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

I started thinking about the last photos we posted of our little ones and realized it has been way to long. In fact it was probably February when I posted photos of Rochelle’s birthday and these photos were taken right before Ezra’s birthday a couple weeks ago. More to come on his birthday.
Here are a [...]

Havin’ fun with fellow photographers

Friday, June 27th, 2008

Earlier this week, a group of photographers got together to hang out, enjoy a campfire, and share old war stories.  Our friends, Ted and Rachel Linczak, wanted some fresh photos of the two of them, so we thought we’d make a thing of it.  Kind of a party shoot, if you will.  We had a [...]

The Muller Family Portaits

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

While I knew this was a family session, the emphasis was definitely on Wyatt. At 18 months old, he kept all of us busy with his moving/running/chasing around. It made my job more challenging but also more fun and rewarding.

Little Caden

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

I had a great time photographing Jonathon and Tricia almost 2 years ago so I knew I would also have a great time with their son Caden. I’m glad I was able to capture this sweet and peaceful side of him before he starts crawling all over the place and keeping his parents busy.
Caden definitely [...]

Mintus Maternity

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

The Mintus family is eagerly waiting the arrival of the newest member of the family, Mom probably more than little Rylee. I’m guessing she’s in for a big surprise once the baby comes along and she no longer gets all of Mom and Dad’s attention.
Alyssa (the Mom) wanted to photos with an urban feel. We [...]

Chad and Kari in Peninsula

Monday, May 19th, 2008

I met Kari a couple years ago when she had me photograph her Aunt and Mom as a birthday present. Back then, I already knew she was a fun and caring person. Chad is such an amazing complement to her. If I’ve ever fallen in love with a couple, this would probably be them.

I’m so [...]

Non-bridal with Paul and Nicole downtown Canton

Friday, May 16th, 2008

We had been trying to do a session with Paul and Niki since February. Part of the idea was to do something challenging for us to help push us creatively. Things kept getting postponed but finally we made it happen.
One of tough part of the day to shoot, is at dusk. When the sun has [...]

Baby Reese’s family portraits

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

There is a new member to the Nisly family. No, not our family! Rochelle and Ezra have a brand new cousin named Reese. Reese is now the youngest of four siblings and is already feeling a lot of love from the whole family.
Rarely do I have the opportunity to photograph someone so young but for [...]

The Hartshorn Family Portraits

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

The Hartshorns are a fantastic family but also not your typical family either. Once you look at these photos, you’ll know what I mean. I know there is never a dull moment in that home and it kinda reminds me of my family growing up (minus the hair and with one less brother).
April, the oldest [...]

Ezra at 7 months old and Rochelle

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

After photographing these babies recently, it was time to make sure ours was not omitted. Ezra’s latest pleasure is playing with his feet. If that’s all it takes to make him happy, I am happy to oblige.
Meanwhile his sister Rochelle has the bad bad habit of twirling her hair while sucking her thumb. Yes, it [...]

Brogann’s baby portraits

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

I finally had a chance to meet the newest member of the Lynch family. Brogann is over 3 months old so it was about time.
I love Brogann’s pudgy built and dark eyes.
Here he is with his brother Finnegan
I can’t wait to see you all again soon, hopefully!

Little TJ’s baby portraits

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

I had the fun job of photographing a newborn last week. Ty James, or TJ for short, hadn’t been out of the hospital 1 week when he was required to pose for me. He did really well and stayed alert most of the time.
For some reason all the images called out to me:”make me black [...]

The Claus family portraits

Monday, December 31st, 2007

We had the joy of photographing Dominick and Nicole’s wedding over 2 years ago and were thrilled to hear that they were expecting a little one this past summer. I had the felling they would be amazing parents and sure enough…Dominick is a devoted and caring Dad and Nicole a loving Mom. They sure made [...]

The Davidson/Mraz Family

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Finally some snow!! I’ve been waited to go out and shoot in the snow and it finally happened. I met up with the Davidsons at their home a few days after Sara and Eric Mraz celebrated their wedding with a reception for their Ohio friends and family. Eric and Sara are going [...]

Bradley Family

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Things were a little touch and go when it came to scheduling this session with bad weather amongst other things. Thankfully it all came together beautifully at Stan Hywet. The Bradleys are such a fun and good looking family. I could have easily taken and posted many more images but here a few.
Here’s the whole [...]

Tara

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

Darbie, Tara’s mom whom I used to work with, asked me if I did senior photos. Sure I do, just not very frequently and not your typical in studio poses. So off we went to the Seiberling Naturealm. Once there I had Tara nestle in Japanese grass, climb trees and lay on the ground. Thankfully [...]

Stephen, Trica and little Dane

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

I was thrilled to have Tricia contact me to take photos of their newborn Dane. He was 10 days old when we took these and I’m sure he already has changed some. Thankfully the weather was perfect and so was the light. You might remember Stephen and Tricia from our first blog postings. You can see [...]

The Jones Family

Monday, September 17th, 2007

Over the last few years we have gotten to know Scott Jones while working weddings together. He is a fantastic DJ and we always look forward to working with him.
This time instead of capturing some quick photos of him behind the mixer, we decided to schedule a photo session as a gift for his wife [...]

Sam and Aurelie at Morimont Castle

Saturday, May 19th, 2007

We recently returned from our trip to Europe where we spent some time with family, did some business and enjoyed a vacation in Italy away from Rochelle to celebrate our 5 anniversary. It all was wonderful and exhausting. I’ll be sharing some photos from our trip in different installments.
Sam and Aurelie is a couple who’s [...]

Zane

Friday, December 22nd, 2006

Remember Deva who’s pregnancy we photographed back in June? Her and Brian’s little boy is now 6 months old. Zane is such a cutie with a subtle smile. It’s amazing to see how much he’s grown. It’s fun to see him and Rochelle interacting. Before we know it they’ll be running around chasing each other.Although [...]

Cook’s Painting

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

First time doing a corporate photo although we have photographed benefits before. The second photo will be used for the company Christmas photo. I had to show the first one since it was my favorite of the bunch.
We had these guys do some work for us already and did a great job so we plan [...]

Helen and Family

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

We took some photos after Thanksgiving of Helen and her family since they came in from Jersey. Evelyn, the grand-daughter-in-law found us and booked the session just from seeing our website.
Their daughter is such a smiling cutey. I don’t blame grandma and great-grandma for stealing hugs and kisses.

Catch-up time

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

First off I need to thank all you faithful blog readers. I know there are lots of you even if no comments are posted. I truly appreciate you taking the time look here weekly and email me your thoughts.

Jon+Lisa+Kids

Tuesday, September 12th, 2006

Not a wedding this time but a fun family. I feel bad for their daughter Lily who normally is so cheerful and smiling but today decided not to be. I hope it’s not because of me and the camera. Meanwhile her brother, Elijah, was enjoying being himself in front of the camera. No shyness whatsoever. [...]

Grace

Monday, July 17th, 2006

Grace just turned 1 month. For being so petite, she seems very alert. Notice her great hair and the color? Sometimes she even gets caught playing with it! She has the cutest little hands, feet and lips. Of course before the end of the session she had to let us know her patience was wearing [...]

Gwen’s Portrait Session

Monday, July 3rd, 2006

Gwen is just shy of 7 months and already seems so mobile just rolling around and sitting up. She has the cutest facial expressions and great hair. Just looking and working on the photos, I couldn’t help but smile.

Sandy and Susie’s Portrait Session

Monday, July 3rd, 2006

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph twin sisters celebrating their XXth birthday. (You didn’t actually expect me to reveal their age did you?) Susie’s daughter surprised them with the portrait session and I was thrilled she asked me to do it. Such a great present!

Deva’s pregnancy

Tuesday, June 20th, 2006

James and I had the opportunity to photograph the very pregnant Deva and her hubby Brian. Since the weather was gray and cold, we took photos inside their house promoting us to think outside the box.
