I’m a little behind on several boudoir sessions so you are about to see several back to back. Just keep checking for more.

M chose a hotel I was unfamiliar with but I am so glad she did. It’s nice to use new locations and props while keeping it personal to create some unique images. I had so much fun doing these M. Can’t wait to share the rest!

If you have been planning on or contemplating contacting us about photographing your wedding in 2009, I thought I better give you a bit of a heads-up on what is going on with us recently.

In the last two weeks alone, 10 prime dates have been reserved, which brings us to roughly half of our capacity for the year. If we continue at this rate, all of 2009 will be completely sold out before January 1st of 2009.

This means that if you are serious about commisioning us, it’s best to get ahold of us sooner rather than later about your date as we have never had a year book up this fast before.

Jeff and Tracy’s wedding at the Metropolitan Ballroom

Because of tight schedules, we didn’t get a chance to meet Tracy and Jeff until just a few short weeks before the wedding would take place. As we learned about the various details throughout the planning process, we got the impression that this would be both a very unique, and classy event. When we finally got to meet Tracy and Jeff, they confirmed our suspicions and with the help of event planner extraordinaire, Valarie Kirkbride of Kirkbrides Events, the wedding met and exceeded our expectations.

Through the viewinder, it looked like Jeff had found THE perfect gift for Tracy on their wedding day. A very valuable skill indeed.

The ceremony took place and the exceedingly charming (yet somewhat under-airconditioned) St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lakewood.

The reception took place at the beautiful Metropolitan Ballroom and the 21st floor of the Huntington building in downtown Cleveland.

For their first dance, Jeff and Tracy did an amazing job with a hoppin’ little ditty to Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”. The guests loved it!

Not surprisingly, Tracy and Jeff weren’t ready to settle for your typical wedding reception entertainment, so they brought in one of their favorite Cleveland eighties cover bands called The Breakfast Club. These guys were good! I looooved their version of The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven”.

At the end of the night and on top of the world. Congrats, guys, and thank you so much for having us be a part of it all.

We’ll be back!

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we are spending the week in California’s wine country for a short culinary vacation with some friends, so e-mails and phone calls might go out a little slower than usual. We’ll be back on Friday so we’ll try to get caught up with everything then if you haven’t already heard from us.

To give you a taste of what we have been up to, here’s yesterday’s lunch at the Culinary Institute of America.

Greg and Meredith’s wedding at the Strongsville Holliday Inn

Evidently, being one of eight siblings pretty much ensures that there will never be a dull moment when you get the family together. That’s at least how it felt spending the day with Meredith, Greg, and his seven siblings at their wedding in Strongsville, Ohio. From the games of pit and table hockey to the scrapping in the yard behind the hotel during family photos, I can see why one might want to stay on their toes.
Meredith, on the other hand, is a single child who gets to adopt all of Greg’s siblings into her family in one fell swoop. Lucky you!

A little brotherly love. Hey, a guy can’t get married without getting roughed up a little by his brothers, can he?

The Clark Family Portrait Session

A few months ago, we got an e-mail from a past wedding client, Ashley, saying the she wanted to surprise her parents on their aniversay with a family portrait session. We thought that was a great idea, and evidently, so did Ashley’s mom because she started crying when she saw us walk into her kitchen with cameras in hand.

Matt and Megan’s wedding at Cathedral of St. John and Landerhaven

We have been looking forward to photographing Matt and Megan’s wedding for quite a while now, and when the guest list topped 1000 at one point, we knew we were going to have a very interesting day. While the size of the guest list and bridal party (twenty-two) certainly made this wedding unique, what really stood out in my mind was what great people Matt and Megan were to be around. After getting to know them a little, it’s not that surprising that so many people would want to be a witness to their marriage. Megan is a very tender spirit while Matt’s good nature kept the mood light and fun.

Chris and Stephanie’s Photo Booth

This whole photo booth thing is turning out to be a lot of fun. It usually takes a bit for people to warm up to the idea, but once they do, it’s a blast seeing how people improvise. While whole mall-style “cram’em in and close the curtain” type booths might be a quaint idea, we find that things develop much more naturally if you give people a little breathing room. This group needed very little encouragement!

Welcome to the third installment of the Amy-Julie-Stephanie wedding trifecta - three weddings spanning three years with all three in each other’s bridal parties. We’ve had an absolute blast getting to know this group of friends and we have been quite honored to photograph all three of these weddings.

After a health-related wedding postponement and a Nisly family reunion in late July, this was a fantastic wedding to come back with from our bizarre mid-summer sabbatical. Both Genevieve and I were charged up and ready to rock, and I can’t imagine a better group of people to rock it with.
