Elliott’s One Year Portrait Session

Lauren is a photographer herself so I was thrilled to hear she wanted me to photograph her son Elliott who was turning one as well and her and her husband Scott. Lauren did a great job coordinating everyone's clothes as well as making a yummy cake (which I sadly didn't get to try) for Elliott to smash. I loved the the color selection, especially how striking the red looked outside in snowy Ohio. Thanks Elliott, Scott and Lauren for a fun portrait session!

Natalija and Jason’s Wedding at Old Stone Church

Jason and Natalija's wedding ceremony took place in one of the most historically significant buildings in downtown Cleveland; the 157 year old Old Stone Church on Public Square. The building has lost none of its charm in those years despite a fire here and there, and a few restoration projects, but even after all of that, it was a fantastic setting for Jason and Natalija.

Eric and Kate’s Wedding at Signature of Solon

This past Saturday brought us to Eric and Kate's wedding ceremony at St Dominic's in Shaker Heights and a first for us, a reception at Signature of Solon in, well, Solon. The ceremony was unique in that Kate's Uncle able to act as visiting Priest and officiate the ceremony. How cool is that?

Richard and Karin’s wedding in Chagin Falls

While Karin and Richard had hoped for an outdoor April wedding, Ohio weather had other plans. We endured a few rain drops and chilly temperatures to include some outside images. What's a few goosebumps when you will be treasuring the images for a lifetime?

Adam and Nicole’s Wedding at Firestone Country Club

Adam and Nicole officially kicked off our season on Saturday with their wedding at St. Paul's in Akron and reception at the Firestone Country Club. It was a really fun (if a bit chilly) day and despite a few setbacks with our photo location plans, we were able to get some great stuff of both the bridal party and the couple before we headed into the reception. The highlight of the reception had to have been when the MOH rapped her entire speech to everyone's surprise, and she killed it!

Baby Layla – Akron portrait

It was great to hear that despite living hours away, Natalie and Jeff decided to come into town to visit with family, get Layla baptized and have me photograph their first family portraits. Seeing how fun we had at their wedding, I knew this time would be similar and sure enough we laughed during lots of the session and got some time to catch up.

Our trip to Europe – Part II: the Alsace

On to chapter 2 of our European trip. This time the focus is on the Alsace where my family lives. What I love about this part of the country is how quaint and colorful some of the villages are. They truly look frozen in time with the stone paved streets, water fountains that are 200 years old and all the potted plants.

Baby Alyson

I was thankful to get the call that they had started a family of their own and wanted me to photograph baby Alyson. We planned the fist official family portraits at their home in Akron.

In case you haven't figured out by now, I (Genevieve) photograph all the babies and families that you see here on the blog and the website. It has truly become a pleasure to witness and capture the various chapters in people's lives. In a small way I feel like I am capturing a part of history that will be treasured for years to come and that is so rewarding!
